1. Introduction

Welcome to Slight.ae ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") govern your use of our website located at www.slight.ae (the "Service") operated by Slight.ae.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and specifically comply with the regulations established by the Department of Economic Development (DED) of Dubai.

2. Scope of Services

Slight.ae provides professional lighting solutions including but not limited to:

• Lighting design and consultation
• Supply of lighting fixtures and equipment
• Installation and maintenance services
• Smart lighting and automation solutions
• Custom lighting projects

All services are provided in accordance with UAE standards and regulations, including compliance with Dubai Municipality building codes and Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) requirements.

3. Orders and Purchases

When placing an order through Slight.ae:

1. All prices are listed in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) and include VAT where applicable in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. (8) of 2017 on Value Added Tax.
2. By confirming your order, you are entering into a legally binding agreement subject to these Terms.
3. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders at our sole discretion.
4. Product specifications, images, and descriptions are provided for informational purposes and may vary slightly from the actual products.

4. Payment Terms

Payment for our services and products is accepted through the following methods:

• Credit/Debit cards
• Bank transfers
• Cheques (for orders above AED 5,000)
• Cash on delivery (for eligible orders within Dubai)

For projects and custom installations:

• A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to commence work
• The remaining balance is due upon completion or as specified in your project agreement
• For projects exceeding AED 50,000, customized payment schedules may be arranged

5. Delivery and Installation

Slight.ae provides delivery and installation services throughout the UAE:

1. Standard delivery within Dubai is 1-3 business days after order confirmation
2. Delivery to other emirates typically requires 2-5 business days
3. Installation appointments are scheduled upon confirmation of delivery
4. Customers are responsible for ensuring access to the installation site
5. Any structural modifications required for installation must be pre-approved and may incur additional charges

We are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, regulatory inspections, or access restrictions.

6. Warranties and Returns

All products supplied by Slight.ae are covered by the following warranties:

• Standard manufacturer warranty (minimum 1 year) against defects
• 30-day return policy for unused items in original packaging
• Installation services are warranted for 1 year against workmanship defects

Warranty claims must be submitted with proof of purchase and are subject to inspection by our technical team. Please refer to our Return Policy for detailed information on returns and refunds.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Slight.ae website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Slight.ae or its content suppliers and is protected by UAE intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of any content from our website is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Slight.ae and its suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

1. Your use or inability to use the Service
2. Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
3. Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

Our liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the applicable products or services.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Slight.ae, its employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, specifically the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.

13. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not (a) engage in any activity that is illegal, fraudulent, or harmful to any person or entity, (b) transmit any viruses or malicious code, (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems, or (d) interfere with the proper working of the Service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you engage in prohibited conduct.

14. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure in performing its obligations (except payment obligations) if such delay or failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, governmental actions, labor disputes, power failures, or Internet outages.

15. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, including their existence, validity, or termination, shall first be settled amicably through good-faith negotiations between the parties within 30 days of written notice of the dispute. If no resolution is reached, the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC). The seat of arbitration shall be Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the proceedings shall be conducted in English.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to render it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement & Assignment

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Slight.ae regarding the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, and proposals, whether written or oral. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations at any time without notice.
